We have been pressuring Centre on SCS for four years’
YSRCP leader Botcha Satyanarayana on Sunday expressed his party’s readiness to work with any party or organisation to fight against the TDP’s “misrule.”
He was reacting to question on the reported statement of Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan that parties should come together to fight the TDP.
At a press conference here, Mr. Satyanarayana said his party had been fighting against the Union government too for the past four years on the Special Category Status (SCS) issue.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had praised the Modi Government for four years before walking out of the NDA, he said.
‘BJP’s days numbered’
The BJP was not ready to fight the elections in Andhra Pradesh as its days were numbered, and that was the reason why the resignations of the YSRCP MPs were not accepted, he said.
Stating that the TDP had failed on all fronts, including law and order, Mr. Satyanarayana took exception to the release of 44 prisoners, including those involved in the murder of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s father.
Farmers were let down in the name of loan waiver, he said, and added that against a total of ₹21,000 crore, only ₹4,500 crore was allocated in the budget for three years.
He demanded that Mr. Naidu and former Civil Aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju write a letter to the Centre to inquire into the allegations in the AirAsia scandal. Development in Visakhapatnam took a beating with the two Ministers from the region not seeing eye to eye, he said. The report of the Special Investigation Team into the land-grab charges was not made public so far, he said.
Party leader Tyanala Vijay Kumar was present.
