The event, supported by tourism department, is a huge hit
A new season of live music shows, ‘SecSatPondy’ began last Saturday with a throwback to golden era of classic/progressive rock and psychedelic music.
Taking the stage was H2O fronted by Ishite and Francis who dressed the part with bell bottoms, bandanas and long hair evocative of zeitgeist of the Sixties in world music.
The set list featured covers of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s classic Proud Mary, Jimi Hendrix’s Voodoo Child, Born to be Wild, (Steppenwolf), White Room(essayed by Eric Clapton/Cream), Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, early Beatles, early Pink Floyd.
Live Music – SecSatPondy (so termed as it is staged on the second Saturday of the month) is supported by the Department of Tourism, is quite a draw among the weekend travellers heading to this coastal town.
