Young men and women cadets of Officers Training Academy in St. Thomas Mount demonstrated their all-round abilities during the combined skill display on Friday.
It is a regular feature in their training schedule and is held a day ahead of their induction into the Indian Army as officers.
A combined display consisted of equestrian display, gymnastics, para-motors display, parasailing activities, motorcycle display and military band performance.
Some of the outstanding performances by cadets included various demonstrative skills showcasing their physical fitness and mental toughness to meet the challenges. Cadets carried out activities on bikes, parallel crossing, tubelight jump, tank balance, ladder lotus and scissor crossing.
The programme on Friday began with an equestrian display by both the OTA cadets and the serving Army officers.
The motorcycle display by personnel from the team of Tornadoes of Army Service Corps and Centre, Bangalore, delighted the audience.
Major General V.D. Chowgule, Officiating Commandant, Officer’s Training Academy (OTA), Chennai gave away mementos to the participants.
