Tweets that she was being sidelined
BJP Rajya Sabha member Roopa Ganguly courted controversy after she tweeted against the party’s State president, Dilip Ghosh, alleging that he had been ignoring her calls.
Though Ms. Ganguly later deleted the tweets which she posted on Tuesday, they brought to fore the differences between the two leaders. According to sources, one of the reason for the outburst could be that the publicity wing of the party was ignoring her and all the limelight was on Mr. Ghosh.
“Who is your media in charge in bengal Dilip da.. kindly let me know. And kindly ask him/her to call me tomorrow morning around 10 a.m… nobody replies at the core committee msg group… couldn’t message you either.. it’s blocked as well,” the actor-turned-politician tweeted. In another tweet, the MP said that she can message Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah but not Dilip Ghosh.
Dilip Ghosh said he had not blocked Ms. Ganguly, and was not sure why she had made these allegations on social media and not taken up the matter with him.
