KCR attacked for ‘ugly’ comments on Sonia

‘24-hour power supply possible because of previous Cong. government’ Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy termed Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s harsh comments on Sonia Gandhi as those made in an inebriated condition and nothing more could be expected of a ‘broker’. “Carrying suitcases is the culture of KCR. How dare he made such ugly comments on Sonia Gandhi who gave Telangana with commitment to fulfil aspirations of people?” he said at the ‘Meet The Press’ organised by the Telangana State Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) here on Monday. Using harsh words like ‘character-less fellow’ against KCR, he said a person involved in fake visas and passports could not think beyond that. “You touched her feet for granting Telangana, and making such ugly comments on her now reflects your personality,” he said. Reacting to KCR’s personal attack on him in an election rally, Mr. Reddy said when KCR was selling fake passports and landed in jail, he was serving on the Indian border as a soldier. “It shows the quality of both,” said Mr. Reddy, who served in the Indian Air Force as fighter pilot. Mr. Reddy said the 24-hour power supply was possible because of power plants set up by the previous Congress government and KCR government had not produced a single new unit in its term. ‘Systems destroyed’ The new state of Telangana was expected to be democratic since the whole fight was for self-respect and self-governance but KCR destroyed all democratic systems, including the media, which was frightened to write against the Government. He alleged that KCR and his son, K.T. Rama Rao had taken 6% commission in all works, including irrigation projects.
